This week’s NXT 2.0 was filled with a strong showing from the women’s division. Four matches with female talent were held on the show, which featured a total of 23 ladies that were featured on the show.
Nikkita Lyons defeated Lash Legend
The evening began with Lyons and Legend’s second in-ring meeting. Since the beginning of March, the two behemoths have been embroiled in bitter competition. Lyons picked up a second victory with a spinning heel kick, increasing her winning run to two and defeating Legend twice. Following the contest, Natalya assaulted Lyons from behind, with Legend joining in for a two-on-one assault. Before going after Natalya, Cora Jade took a look at Legend first, then turned her attention to her. Natalya tried to lock the Sharpshooter in, but Lyons stopped her, so she didn’t do it.
For next week’s special NXT 2.0 Spring Breakin’ program, a tag team match has been announced. It will be Natalya and Lash Legend vs. Cora Jade and Nikkita Lyons in this match.
Kayden Carter & Katana Chance defeated Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz
On this week’s NXT 2.0, a tag team match took held to give one team the push they needed to go after the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz were beaten by Kayden Carter and Katana Chance in a hard match between two outstanding teams. Carter assisted Chance with the 450 Splash, and the tandem won by pinfall.
Legado del Fantasma (Elektra Lopez/Cruz del Toro/Joaquin Wilde) defeated Fallon Henley & Josh Briggs
Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs, and Brooks Jensen were spotted conversing backstage prior to their six-man tag team bout. Jensen saw Sofia Cromwell as she went past. Jensen was attacked backstage and knocked out by an unknown assailant prior to their battle against Legado del Fantasma. As a result, the ensuing match will be a two-on-three handicap match. Del Toro pinned Briggs to win the match for Legado del Fantasma.
Mandy Rose defeated Roxanne Perez
In the show’s last bout, newcomer Roxanne Perez competed in a non-title contest against NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose. Perez defeated Toxic Attraction’s Jacy Jayne in her first battle last week. This bout was scheduled earlier in the night when Toxic Attraction contacted Perez, who was backstage with Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta. Perez was aiming for back-to-back victories, but the Rose made sure it didn’t happen. Rose would win by pinfall after a grueling match and a number of near falls from Perez. Wendy Choo showed up after the bout and trapped Toxic Attraction on the ramp in a trap. Choo and Perez followed the champs to the back of the pack.
This week’s episode also included a backstage piece with Tiffany Stratton and Grayson Waller. They seem to have discovered a point of agreement as they scream about their recent adversaries.
