The first-ever NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament is on its way, and it will kick off on the May 10 edition.
NXT has previously had two men’s breakout tournaments, but this will be the first time it has hosted a women’s tournament. Its mission is to introduce new faces to the WWE brand directly from the WWE Performance Center. Carmelo Hayes won the men’s competition in 2021 and went on to win the NXT North American Championship.
Arianna Grace, who will make her debut, has been announced as the first name. Grace, the second-generation superstar’s new WWE ring moniker, was announced earlier today. To promote her tournament debut, a little vignette aired.
The tournament’s second name was announced as Kiana James. James, also known as Kayla Inlay, has competed in a few bouts since making her NXT debut against Sarray on February 1st. She is still seeking her first victory. She claims to be introducing sophistication to the competition.
The third confirmed name is Sloane Jacobs. She aims to be the youngest NXT Women’s Champion in history, despite being just 19 years old. Jacobs has appeared in two bouts since joining WWE, and, like Kiana James, she will also be seeking her maiden victory.
