WrestleMania Women’s Review

WrestleMania is the biggest event of the year for women’s wrestling and wrestling in general. WrestleMania week got off to a big start when The Bella Twins, Molly Holly, and Ethel Johnson were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. From there we saw a new NXT Women’s Champion crowned when Raquel Gonzalez defeated Io Shirai. We also saw the NXT Women’s Champions Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart retain their titles against Candice LeRae and Indie Hartwell. Each night of WrestleMania featured two women’s matches, and we also saw Alexa Bliss play a big role in the first match of night two.

The first quarter of 2021 was an exciting time. The WWE was preparing for WrestleMania, AEW added a new show, Impact Wrestling was being taken over by AEW, and more independent wrestling promotions were starting back up again.
