Our women’s wrestling podcast is hosted by TK Trinidad, Emily Mae Heller, and Sarah the Rebel who bring you women’s wrestling interviews with some of your favorite wrestlers and superstars. This week we had Pro Wrestling Pets with The Candy Girl and the WWT Interview with Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo. Our Star of the Week was Joseline Navarro and we also had our weekly WWT News on Thursday on Instagram Live. This week’s special guest was WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E from Smackdown.

Pro Wrestling Pets with The Candy Girl

This week Emily Mae talked to The Candy Girl. She showed off and spoke about her pet rabbit Chip. Chip was rescued from the streets and has found a great home. The Candy Girl is popular on the independent women’s wrestling scene and trained with Brian Kendrick and Jesse Hernandez.

WWT Interview with Deonna Purrazzo

This week our women’s wrestling podcast interviewed none other than Deonna Purrazzo. The current and two time Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion talked about her dream stable, opponents, and her experience with COVID-19. Deonna wrestled for WWE and NXT as well as Ring of Honor and many other promotions.

Star of the Week: Joseline Navarro

This week’s Star of the Week was Joseline Navarro. She has been wrestling since 2016 in many promotions including OVW and FSW and was the BDW Women’s Champion. This Caribbean superstar is an amazing athlete and has worked with legends, including Jazz and Mick Foley. Be sure to keep your eye out for her.

This Week in Women’s Wrestling History

Here’s some interesting women’s wrestling history and trivia. As Black History Month comes to a close you may be wondering who the first female African-American professional was. Her name was Ethel Johnson and she debuted at the age of 16 in 1952. Her two sisters were also wrestlers. Johnson worked with Stu Hart and held the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship. You can learn more about her in the documentary Lady Wrestler: The Amazing, Untold Story of African American Women in the Ring.

Match of the Week: Asuka vs. Deonna Purrazzo

This week we bring you more than just one match for the WWT Match of the Week. It should have been a dream match, but it wasn’t. Asuka and Deonna Purrazzo have something in common, the fact that many wrestling fans feel the WWE has not used them properly. The current Raw and Impact women’s champions faced off on Raw in late 2019. Even though Deonna was used more as an enhancement talent, she still got off some big moves and impressed. Check out the action on the WWE’s YouTube channel.
