This Week in WWT: 2-20-21

This was a busy week at Women’s Wrestling Talk, the #1 women’s wrestling show on the planet. Our women’s wrestling podcast is hosted by TK Trinidad, Emily Mae Heller, and Sarah the Rebel who bring you women’s wrestling interviews with some of your favorite wrestlers. This week we had Pro Wrestling Pets with Effy and the WWT Interview with Kiah Dream. Our Star of the Week was Nicole Savoy and we also had our weekly WWT News on Thursday on Instagram Live.

Pro Wrestling Pets with Effy

This week Emily Mae spoke with Effy and his dog cranberry. Effy is a veteran of the independent wrestling scene and is often seen competing for Game Changer Wrestling. Cranberry is an interesting dog and you’ll hear all about her in this exclusive interview.

WWT Interview with Kiah Dream

This week our women’s wrestling podcast interviewed Kiah Dream. Kiah trained at the D-Von Dudley Academy. Kia is a relative newcomer to the independent wrestling scene but you can still find plenty of her matches. She talked about the wrestlers she admires and would like to wrestle and whether or not she has connections to the WWE and NXT through her beau and her trainer.

Star of the Week: Nicole Savoy

This week’s Star of the Week was Nicole Savoy. She has been wrestling since 2015 in many promotions including Shimmer. Savoy competed in the 2017 Mae Young Classic and defeated Reina Gonzalez. She participated in AEW’s Casino Battle Royal and was part of the promotion’s Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament: The Deadly Draw under the name Lil’ Swole. Savoy was ranked #10 in the PWI Female 100 in 2019.

This Week in Women’s Wrestling History

Here’s some interesting women’s wrestling history and trivia. The first women’s Elimination Chamber took place on February 25, 2018. The match was won by Alexa Bliss who defended her WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was decided in the Elimination Chamber in 2019 when The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection of Bayley and Sasha won the inaugural championship.

Match of the Week: FSPW Jewels of Wrestling 1

This week we bring you more than just one match for the WWT Match of the Week. In preparation of our upcoming WWT Rankings, we introduce you to Jewels of Wrestling. The women’s division of FSPW has released two episodes on their YouTube channel. This is certainly worth watching. You’ll recognize Su Yung and be introduced to other wrestlers like Kaitlyn Marie, Savannah Evans, Ella Envy, Samantha Starr, Selina Rose, Madi Maxx, and more. Find out if a new champion is crowned and subscribe to their channel after you subscribe to ours.
