Jon Alba, Kim Orton, and Giovanna Angle of The Wives of Wrestling podcast sit down with WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey. She returned to WWE this year, entering the Royal Rumble at number 28. Rousey went on to win the 2022 Royal Rumble, going on to face off with WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair at this year’s WrestleMania.
At first, they open up discussing the life of a mom in wrestling as Rousey gives us an insight into her normal daily routine. She credits former NXT Champion, Shayna Baszler for her coming to WWE in the first place. In addition, she talks about getting into the business and her first conversation with Triple H.
Furthermore, she opens up about not knowing if she would have actual matches. She talks about being unaware of live shows, “I didn’t know that was a thing.”
She goes on to explain WWE being on her bucket list and wanting to complete it before having a baby. Giovanna talks about her daughter’s love for Rousey and asks would she be okay to bring her family into WWE.
“I think [Travis] would be down, I think we would have a great time, we would love that. I think my mom might actually like haul off and beat the s**t out of somebody if they said something that pissed her off.”
She shares some interesting words her mother had for one of her WrestleMania 35 opponents. Rousey continues, detailing her conversation with former WWE RAW Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch.
