On June 29, the TBS Championship will be defended at AEW’s Blood & Guts event. The gold and the unbeaten streak of champion Jade Cargill will be at stake.
An open challenge was made in a Tweet by Cargill’s publicist Stokely Hathaway, to which Tony Khan replied with Grey as the one to answer. Cargill’s record is presently 33-0.

Cargill and her Baddies (Red Velvet and Kiera Hogan) have recently feuded with Kris Statlander and Athena. Velvet has been ruled out due to an injury, and Hathaway is seeking someone to take her place as the next Baddie. This dispute is likely to last beyond Cargill’s struggle with Grey.
Cargill last defended her title on Rampage on June 15, against Willow Nightingale. She has feuded with Athena and Kris Statlander in the weeks after Double or Nothing, both of whom are seeking a future TBS Championship bout.
Grey is currently the Women’s Ohio Valley Wrestling Champion. She made her WWE SmackDown debut earlier this year as Cat Cardoza, losing to Raquel Rodriguez. In March, she participated on Rampage and lost a Five Minute Rookie Challenge against Serena Deeb.
Find out tonight if Jade’s undefeated streak comes to an end by Leila Grey for the TBS Championship.
