Report: Details On Mercedes Moné’s NJPW Future Matches

Mercedes Moné will only compete for New Japan Pro Wrestling a few times a year, but her fans will see a lot of her in the upcoming weeks.

At Wrestle Kingdom 17 earlier this month, Moné made her New Japan debut, going up against IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI following a title defense against Tam Nakano. After the match, she attacked KAIRI, and a title match between the two has been scheduled for the following month.

On February 18, Moné hopes to become only the second IWGP Women’s Champion in history, but more information is being provided about upcoming contests.

Moné only has a few matches under contract, with her second one scheduled for NJPW Sakura Genesis on April 8 at Ryogoku Sumo Hall, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.

On April 23, Moné will compete in her third match at a STARDOM event held at the Yokohama Arena. No opponents have been revealed for any of Moné’s other matches, aside from the Battle in the Valley match. According to rumors, New Japan is already preparing a Moné Vs. KAIRI sequel for next month.
