#IMPACTRecap: The Aftermath of Hard to Kill

Before we get into all the destruction at Hard to Kill, let’s take a trip back to the last week’s episode of Impact Wrestling. With this being the first episode of the year and the last episode before Hard to Kill, everyone was looking for a win. The Demon Assassin, Rosemary teamed up with former Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, Rachael Ellering, and Jordynne Grace, to take on the team of Chelsea Green, Tasha Steelz, and Lady Frost. It was Green that got the win for her team and gained some momentum going into Hard to Kill.

Masha made her way to the Impact Zone and defeated her opponent in a quick victory. She is familiar with former Knockouts champion, Deonna Purrazzo, and will have no problem letting her presence and dominance felt. Mercedes Martinez returned and took on Deonna Purrazzo as Current Knockouts Champion, Mickie James, joined commentary. The Virtuosa danced in the ring with the OG Badass and gained the victory. After the match, James and Purrazzo briefly met in the ring in an exchange of course with no contact.

After the preshow, the first-ever Ultimate X match opened up the night and all these Knockouts came to win. During the match, Savannah Evans and Havok made their way to the ring to help their respective partners. It was Tasha Steelz that became the first woman to win an Ultimate X match and made it clear she did not care who was champion at the end of the night, her time is now!

James successfully defended her Knockouts Championship against Purrazzo in a Death Texas Match. From tables to thumbtacks, the determination to end one another in that ring was evident. ROH Women’s Champion, Rok-C, was in the crowd and paid close attention to The Virtuosa. It was Purrazzo who showed up to ROH Final Battle to challenge Rok-C last month so it’s safe to say this match is right around the corner.

Now that the dust has settled, so many questions are left unanswered. When will The Boricua Bad Ass take her shot at Hardcore Country? Who will come out as double champion when Rok-C and Purrazzo go head to head in a winner take all match? One thing is for sure, everyone is hungry for the top spot and nothing will stop them!
