Beat The Clock “I Quit Match” Challenge Set For Next Week’s Smackdown

The event began with a contract signing between SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and her WrestleMania Backlash opponent, Ronda Rousey, on this week’s SmackDown. At the Premium Live Event, the two will compete in an “I Quit Match.”

Flair explained to Rousey what the rules of an “I Quit” bout are, which are that there are none. Rousey continued to remind Flair that she did indeed tap out at WrestleMania, and the audience was behind her. Flair turned over the table and concealed a kendo stick for Rousey to wield as she went to sign the contract. Rousey, on the other hand, would instantly grab the kendo staff and utilize it to her advantage.

As Drew Gulak, Adam Pearce’s intern attempted to get Rousey to sign the contract, Flair bolted from the ring. After placing Gulak in an armbar and signing the deal on top of him, Rousey would sign the contract.

Rousey and Flair will both be in action next week as the countdown to WrestleMania Backlash proceeds. They will each compete in a Beat the Clock “I Quit Match” Challenge, in which they will aim to make their respective opponents say “I Quit” quicker than the other. Although it has not been announced on WWE programming, next week’s broadcast has already been recorded, with Flair facing Aliyah and Rousey facing Shotzi.
