Sasha Banks Discusses Training In Mexico & Makeup Line
Sasha Banks trained in Mexico with Juventud Guerrera and Samuray Del Sol, aka Kalisto, in November. Sasha hasn’t wrestled since Naomi and her left WWE in May, vacating the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Banks reflected on her time in Mexico during a recent Family Giving Tree charity stream with Bayley:
“I miss Mexico so much. I think about it every single day. What a huge crazy honor to live in a different country, let alone Mexico. Just to go out there to train lucha libre with these top legends that I grew up watching, whether it was Ricky Marvin, The Juic Juventud, Skayde…I have been such a fan of his work. he way that he teaches, he taught a lot of CHIKARA Pro guys. Claudio (Castagnoli), Drew Gulak. I’m a huge fan of Claudio’s work.
I wanted to get my basing down, my rolls down, so I found him at the gym and freaked out like a fan. ‘You’re here. You’re actually here. I’ve been DMing you for years, trying to find an email, trying to get to a seminar in the United States.’ There I was in Mexico, training with him. Craziest timing so meant to be. Trained with five different people whether it was Ricky Marvin, The Juice (Juventud Guerrera), Mamba, Skayde, Mr. Iguana. There was so much. I miss it daily. I’m homesick from Mexico because I belong there”
Bayley added that training in Mexico is fun saying, “they tell you when you do something wrong and make fun of you but in a fun way.”
According to PWInsider reporter Dave Meltzer, Banks will appear at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 but will not wrestle. Sasha Banks has announced the launch of a makeup line.
“I’m trying to slow down because I do too much. A makeup line is coming. A makeup brand is coming, tutorials are coming,” Sasha Banks said. “I’m doing so much, especially the last [month] of 2022, December, I have a couple more weeks to get everything in order before the new year. I’m just working.”
Banks may be interested in going All Elite as well as appearing in NJPW, according to Fightful Select.
