WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair wants to work with husband Montez Ford on-screen, but they want to optimize their careers first.
When she appeared on Raw in 2020, Belair worked briefly alongside Ford and Angelo Dawkins as the Street Profits. Aside from sporadic exchanges, they have rarely seen together on WWE television since then.
Belair was questioned by Gorilla Position about the possibility of being paired with Ford on WWE programming and whether she would enjoy it. She stated that she is optimistic that it will materialize, but they are now focused on their own endeavors.
“I think it’s definitely going to happen. I think that it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when it happens. But I think right now, you get so much out of me as singles competitor right now, him as a tag team competitor, eventually a singles competitor. Then maybe down the line, we’ll get to join forces and really have fun, even more fun with each other.
So, I think it would be a great dynamic, but I think we’re going to get the most out of ourselves individually, and then come together and really create something special down the line,” Belair remarked.
Prior to this, Belair expressed interest in collaborating with Ford on a plot. Belair acknowledged some reluctance to cooperate with Montez again on-screen if it wasn’t to highlight their happiness on Ebro In The Morning.
“That’s the only thing I would be worried about. I enjoy doing my own thing and I think he shines as well. He’s in a tag team and maybe in the future he’ll shine on his own, we’ll see. We could do something fun together, but I don’t want to risk my marriage. It’s a murky line for me because I regard my marriage as sacred and don’t want to mess with it. If we’re on TV and broadcasting our love, I want it to be in a positive light,” she said.
Both Belair and Ford are members of WWE Raw after being selected in the 2021 WWE Draft. Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY will fight Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka at WWE Clash at the Castle.
